“I recently went to The Blue Starlight Mini Drive-in Movie and enjoyed it so much! You don’t have to leave the car at all. Everything you order from the concession stand via the mobile site is delivered to your car. Taquero Mucho, which is the most Instagrammable pink paradise (ever) is owned by a Latina currently offering take-out and limited dine-in. They have pink tortillas for taco dishes as well as pink cocktails, pink desserts, and even pink waffles for the brunch menu! It’s so cute! Mexic Arte Museum in downtown Austin is open for their art exhibits at 25% capacity, they feature many Latinx artists from Latin America along with great events like their upcoming Taste of Mexico where guests sample creative cuisines from over 50 of Austin’s most eclectic and exciting restaurants, food trucks, fine tequilas and more.”
“For anyone visiting SoCal, the first thought is going to the beach. There are many to choose from, but my favorite since childhood is Balboa Pier in Newport Beach. Going there just as the sun rises is a sight to behold and typically has very few people on the sand at that time of day. And when the day is over, I like to pick up some takeout from El Cholo nearby for some amazing Mexican food when I get home.”
“Simply stated, New York City is one of the most incredible and innovative places in the world. If you are lucky enough to visit, I recommend you take a little walk through Soho for the best dessert of your lifetime. Start at Dominique Ansel at 189 Spring Street and get yourself a cronut then walk over to Mo Gelato at 178 Mulberry St, settle down at their outdoor seating area and have yourself some coffee and hand-made artisan gelato (my favorites are lemon and pistachio but I honestly like them all!).”
“There are so many beautiful places to visit in the city where it’s windy, however, if I had to narrow it down I would suggest taking the Chicago architectural boat tour, which provides fun facts as well as history lessons about Chicago’s most popular landmarks via the Chicago River. For the best of Chicago’s nightlife’s bars and pubs, [visit] the Wicker Park or Wrigley Field area. Lastly, you can’t visit Chicago without indulging in a slice of deep dish pizza from Gino’s East or a six piece fried hard with mild sauce and lemon pepper on the fries, from Harolds.”
“If you’re road tripping, you HAVE to come to Philly. Philly in the summertime is so good, Will Smith made a whole song about it! If you like wide open sky while being surrounded by city, you NEED to go to the Belmont Plateau or West River Drive, [they are] perfect for views. If you’re a history buff, Philly is a must see with numerous historic sites, such as Independence National Historic Park and the Liberty Bell. As the city reopens, take advantage of eating outdoors at night (summer nights in Philly are a dream). Enjoy your stay in the city of Brotherly Love!”
