Dia: What is Timeless London?
Timeless London is a vintage-inspired brand taking the best from iconic eras of the 50s, 60s, and 70s and adding a modern twist in luxurious, sustainable fabrics.
Dia: What led you to start your own line?
Well, you see, my journey into the world of fashion started with a dash of family flair. My dad was behind the behind-the-scenes, in the supply chain producing clothes for household names like Superdry, American Eagle, Boohoo, and ASOS. During those sunny summer breaks, I became his trusty sidekick, helping out his design team with all sorts of odd jobs. But this tale had a twist – those snazzy designs we worked on were always for someone else’s brand! That’s when it hit me like a bolt of colorful fabric lightning: I needed to cook up my own fashion concoctions and start my own label. I mean, why let the fashion gods have all the fun, right?
As I watched fashion trends do their cha-cha in and out of style, I knew I had a mission: to create pieces so timeless they’d make your wardrobe feel like it had its very own DeLorean. So, say hello to Timeless, my brainchild. It’s like a wild party where vintage vibes from the past mingle with a sassy modern twist.
Dia: How would you describe your style?
I would describe my personal style as quite casual and urban. An oversized fit with the trendiest trainers is my natural go-to whereas Timeless is much more feminine. It is inspired by iconic eras and women, killer curves, and everything empowering. Timeless London’s dresses are made to last a lifetime in your wardrobe but also make you feel sexy and powerful every time you put them on.
Dia: What has been the highlight of your career thus far?
The standout moment in my career has undoubtedly been the launch of our Woollen Sophie Skirt back in 2018. It was a defining milestone as, the moment we sent out the lookbook to our wholesale customers, it completely sold out within a mere 24 hours. Following that remarkable success, we expanded our offerings to include 26 different colors and various versions of the woollen skirt. It’s been a heartwarming journey to witness how much people adore it, solidifying its status as a genuinely timeless and beloved piece.
Dia: What styles are your favorite in this new collection?
My favourite pieces have to be our Cropped Sage Green Jacket and the matching Wendy Woollen Sage Green skirt, coming soon to Dia! The outfit is an ode to the 60s era. Because the ’60s mini was the most self-indulgent, optimistic ‘look at me, isn’t life wonderful’ fashion ever devised. It expresses the sixties, the emancipation of women, the Pill and rock ‘n’ roll! It was the beginning of women’s liberation!
I also love the emerald, green festive velvet jumpsuit! It’s so chic and the way it drapes on the body is so nice!
Dia: What outfit makes you feel the most powerful or the most YOU? How does a great outfit make you feel?
I love a mini knitted dress with a pair of high boot heels with an oversized jacket. I think throw-in in a pair of high heels into any outfit for me and it makes me feel empowered and ready to take on the world!
